Day 6: True Patriotism in the U S of A

I received a jury summons today. It got me thinking about how grateful I am that we live in a country with a pretty good legal system. I'm thrilled I don't have anyone telling me what I may and may not wear in public, choosing for me where I may pray (and to what), or invading my home as they please. We are blessed to have civil rights and duties.



Naturally, seeing this summons dated prior to my return to work also got my deepest pro-American sentiments bubbling up. I realized, on that particular date and through my duties as a stay-home summer mom, I qualify for an exemption from my civil duty.
